Use Aircall in CommSyncBeta
What your team does with Aircall texts, calls, and voicemail after you connect Aircall to CommSync.
Closed beta
Aircall is in a closed beta. Ask CommSync support to turn it on for your workspace.
This page shows what your team does with Aircall in CommSync after you connect it. To connect Aircall, read Aircall.
CommSync puts each Aircall text, call, and voicemail in the conversation of the contact. The same contact view also holds the email you exchange with that person. Your team keeps the Aircall app and the Aircall numbers. CommSync adds one inbox, one history per contact, and AI on top.
Texts
- Read a text. A text to your Aircall number arrives in the CommSync inbox within seconds. The thread shows the Aircall line that received it.
- Reply. Type in the reply box, then press Send. CommSync sends the text through Aircall, from the same number. The text also shows in the Aircall app.
- Check the delivery. Your text shows Sent first. It then changes to Delivered or Failed. A failed text says why in one sentence, and it names the one thing to do.
A text that a teammate sends in the Aircall app also lands in CommSync, so the thread stays complete.
- Pictures. A picture that a contact sends arrives on the message. A text that you send from CommSync through Aircall cannot carry a picture.
- Length. A text holds at most 1,600 characters.
- US numbers. A US line sends texts only after Aircall approves its A2P 10DLC or toll-free registration. Texts to your line arrive before that.
Group texts
When a contact adds your Aircall number to a group text, CommSync shows one group conversation. A reply in that conversation goes to every member as one text. A group holds up to 9 recipients and your line.
Aircall reports each recipient on its own. When one recipient does not get the text, the message shows Failed and names that number.
Calls
Each finished call becomes a row in the conversation, between the texts. The row shows the outcome, the time, and the talk time.
- Missed calls. A missed call marks the thread unread. It also sends a notification when you keep Calls and voicemail on.
- Answered calls. With Aircall AI Assist, the row holds the call summary and the full transcript, with each speaker turn. The transcript can arrive a few minutes after the call. CommSync adds it to the row when it is ready.
- Recordings. A call row carries its recording when Aircall kept one.
- Past calls. When you connect, you can import up to six months of calls. Imported calls notify nobody.
Voicemail
A voicemail row holds a player and the transcript. Press play, scrub the waveform, or change the speed. With AI Assist, Aircall sends the transcript. Without it, CommSync writes the transcript with AI, from your AI credits.
Under its title, a voicemail shows what the caller wants, for example Wants a call back or About an appointment. Search finds a call or a voicemail by the words in its transcript.
One contact, every channel
A contact in CommSync owns their phone numbers and their email addresses. The contact view shows the Aircall texts and calls next to the email, in time order. A name that you keep in Aircall fills an unnamed number in CommSync. See Contacts.
CommSync AI on your Aircall conversations
- Summaries. In a thread, open the sparkles menu in the header, then choose Summarize this conversation. The summary covers the texts and the calls.
- Ask. Ask about your conversations in plain words, for example “Who called about a quote this week?”. Ask reads texts, calls, voicemail transcripts, and email. It answers with links to the messages.
- Agents. A CommSync agent can answer one-to-one texts on the Aircall lines you give it. An agent never answers a call row or a group text.
