For Claude Code users

Claude Code works your inbox. Your lines only.

What Claude Code can do

Everything you can do in CommSync, Claude Code can do too.

The MCP server exposes the same services the CommSync app uses, from a search to building a whole agent. Claude Code picks the tool; CommSync keeps it inside your lines.

223 tools in 27 sections. The same ones the CommSync app uses.

Things people ask Claude Code
  • Read the thread with Northwind and draft the change-order email.
  • Create an agent from this spec file, add our FAQ page as knowledge, and write two tests.
  • Show me the delivery log for the n8n webhook and resend the failed one.
  • Which of our MCP tools send messages? List them with their lines.
  • Read and search

Threads, contacts, files, and smart cards, with search by meaning over mail, texts, and scanned attachments.

  • Send as you

Replies and new texts or email from your lines. A send to an outside person is marked as such, so Claude Code asks before it sends.

  • Build an agent

96 tools cover agents: draft one from a description, give it knowledge and tools, write tests, read its analysis, and approve its drafts.

Made for Claude Code

Your inbox, in the terminal.

Claude Code treats CommSync as one more tool in the session. Add it with one command, sign in with /mcp, and ask in the same place you write code.

  • Shared with the repo

Add the server with --scope project, and Claude Code writes .mcp.json next to your code, so every clone of the repository gets the connector.

  • From a spec file

Point Claude Code at a spec. It creates the agent, adds your FAQ page as knowledge, and writes two tests, in one session.

  • Webhooks from the log

Ask for the delivery log of a webhook. Claude Code reads it, finds the failed one, and resends it.

Your lines only

You choose the lines. CommSync holds the rest back.

On the consent screen you pick what Claude Code can reach. A scoped app sees only the threads on its lines, and CommSync refuses a send from any other line.

  • No password

Claude Code never receives your password or an API key. It gets a token that lasts an hour and renews in the background.

  • Named apps

Claude Code runs on your computer, so the consent screen marks it as an app on this device and asks you to continue only if you just added CommSync yourself.

  • Disconnect

Disconnect in Settings → Connect AI apps. The app stops at once, on every device. Change its lines without a new sign-in.

Start inside Claude Code

No account yet? Start from Claude Code.

When Claude Code opens CommSync and you have no account, one visit does all of it. CommSync keeps the request open for up to 2 hours while you set up.

  1. Step 1

Select Create an account, and enter your name, email address, and password.

  2. Step 2

Enter the 6-digit code from the email, or use the button in it.

  3. Step 3

Choose Just me or a team, then connect an email address or a phone number. The 7-day trial starts, with no card.

  4. Step 4

CommSync takes you back to the consent screen. Select Allow access, and you are back in Claude Code.

Questions

What Claude Code gets, and what it does not.

Short answers for Claude Code users.

Does Claude Code get my password?
No. You sign in on the CommSync page. Claude Code gets a token for your lines, CommSync stores only a hash of it, and a token that leaks is signed out when an old copy appears.
Can it send messages?
Yes, from the lines you allow. Tools such as send_sms and send_email are marked as sends, so Claude Code asks before it sends to an outside person.
What is the server URL?
https://server.commsync.ai/api/mcp, for every app. Settings → Connect AI apps shows it with a copy button and a guide for each app.
Where is CommSync listed?
CommSync is in the official MCP Registry as ai.commsync/commsync, on Smithery, and on Glama. Any app that takes a remote MCP server URL can connect.
